Manon Carpenter is fast becoming one of the top female DH riders in the UK, having had a stellar 2009 Youth season in which she very often posted faster runs than most of the women’s senior categories, including the Elite Women!

Heads up, now I’ve mentioned this name before and today won’t be the last. Manon comes from the Carpenter Stables, headed up by Jason Carpenter of Dragon Downhill fame. Those Dragon races were legendary, not just for the amazingly tough courses but for the locals who set fire to the tracks, shot their air rifles at us as well as throwing rocks mid race run. I won’t even mention moving the burned out cars on the uplift so the trucks could get past..

Teenage DH prodigy, Manon Carpenter will ride a Lapierre DH 920 for the 2010 season, supplied by Hotlines Europe Ltd on a supported rider program. Hotlines will also be supplying Manon with Nuke Proof wheels and X-Tools maintenance products.
